Welcome to historic Ss. Peter and Paul Jesuit, Detroit’s oldest church building and first Cathedral in downtown Detroit.

Thank you for considering Ss. Peter and Paul Jesuit Church as the site for your wedding.  As the oldest church building in Detroit, we are the city’s former Cathedral and celebrate many weddings here each year, including for couples who don’t live in metro Detroit.  We know there are lots of details to prepare for your wedding day – cake, flowers and dresses.  It is our goal to help you prepare not only for the marriage ceremony but for a long and happy marriage together from the first check of the calendar to the final walk down the aisle, we attend to every detail.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit requires wedding dates be set at least six months in advance to allow for marriage preparation.  We will try to accommodate your plans for a specific date. However, dates are set on a first come first served basis and only after a consultation with our office staff.  Contact us through email at sacraments@ssppjesuit.org or by completing the form on our contact us page to set up an appointment for a tour and consultation.  Staff may not be available to accommodate tours outside of office hours or on weekends.
