Join our Rochester Area Catholic Family of Parishes and other area churches and friends during this Season of Creation to help improve the health of local waterways! We will be cleaning up the river’s edge in the area of downtown Rochester from the Clinton River Trail to the Riverwalk Trail, and into the Rochester Municipal Park.
Volunteers need to pre-register by calling or emailing the site coordinator Jason Dickinson at 248-379-8806 or jdickinson@rochestermi.org.
On September 23rd, we will meet, park, and register in the city of Rochester at the Diversion Street parking lot, under the Main Street bridge, adjacent to the Clinton River Trail and 345 Diversion building. Jason will have registration forms for volunteers to complete on site. If you would like to see (or fill out) one ahead of time, please click here. Children ages 4-17 are welcome with a parent—this is a great opportunity to gain service hours!
Tips to make it a great day: • Wear closed-toe shoes—this is required for your safety. • Wear clothes that can get dirty (long pants and sleeves are recommended). • Be mindful of weather, and dress accordingly. • Bringing bug spray, water, and work gloves is recommended. On site, we will provide: Garbage bags, grabbers, and light snacks. Interested in joining us for a prayer lunch on September 9th? Sign up here: www.signupgenius.com/go/pray#/
