Advent begins December 3rd – Through an interactive experience, everyone will have an opportunity to share in the season of light through music, message, reflection and prayer.  Fr. Gary will share more about how you will be asked to participate in his article on December 1st, so stay tuned.  Below is the season’s spiritual, service and social events.

An Advent retreat: 
Be guided by the words of Pope Francis and his encyclical Laudato Si’ to prepare for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ – the light of the world and all Creation HERE.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word:  Bring the kiddos to Mass!  In honor of Advent and to celebrate one year of children’s programming we will offer sessions on December 3, 10, 17 during Mass.

Sunday, December 10: Anointing of the Sick  Anyone preparing for surgery or managing an illness in mind, body or spirit is welcome to receive the sacrament from Fr. Gary after Mass.

Christmas Mass Schedule
4th Sunday of Advent: December 23 @ 5pm
Christmas Eve: December 24 @ 5pm (musical prelude begins at 4:30pm)
Christmas Day: December 25 @ Noon

We need volunteers!!  
We will assemble and update pew binders, put up the Giving Tree, decorate the courtyard hallway and other miscellaneous Advent tasks. Email Lydia if you can help out on Tuesday, November 28 @ 1pm.  We also need ministers for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses.  If you can help out with liturgical tasks or the Welcome Team Email Julie

Giving Tree:  As is the tradition of our parish, we are collecting socks, hats, and gloves for the Pope Francis Center to hand out to guests on Christmas morning.  Please consider donating and place your donations in the collection boxes near the tree.

Sunday, December 3: Annual Parish Christmas Potluck  Sign up at Mass or use this online version to tell us what you’ll bring and if you can help with set up, decorations, or clean up.  The festivities will be held in the UDM Atrium following the 11am Mass.

Sunday, December 17: Christmas Decorating  Bring the kiddos and let’s put up the trees, wreaths and decorate for Christmas.  Light refreshments will be provided.
