The Green Team is inviting you to a Green Pledge opportunity for the Advent Season. As we prayerfully move through Advent with our wreaths and Wednesday night prayer service with its themes, it is our hope that each parishioner make a personal Green Pledge that they can sustain for the year. There will be an opportunity to write your pledge on an ornament and then hang it in the assigned place.
The intention is that everyone become more mindful of the intents of Laudato Si and its platform which will be brought to you via the newsletter. The overarching theme is Care for Our Common Home and its multiple aspects. We sincerely hope that you will participate. The pledge can be very simple, i.e. a daily prayer for our planet, use less plastic or aluminum for wrapping food and containers, turn down the thermostat for winter and up for summer, join an environmental group or an advocacy group for social issues. The possibilities are endless; the cost to you is only your thoughtfulness; the benefit is for our common home.
