FINANCE COUNCIL 3rd QUARTER REPORT TO THE PARISH (JULY 1, 2020-MARCH 31, 2021)

Through the end of the third quarter of SSPP’s fiscal year, the parish shows a manageable deficit of $8,197.  The parish remains on course to finish the fiscal year on June 30 with positive net income.   Four items in the financial summary above are noteworthy.  First, weekly Offertory contributions continue to outpace budget, led by consistent electronic giving.  Second, Stipends (wedding fees primarily) are low because of fewer weddings due to COVID-19.  Third, Fundraising shows contributions from non-parishioners to the GIVE Appeal, but does not yet include contributions from parishioners attributed to the CSA program that will be returned later to the parish from the Archdiocese and appear in the fiscal yearend report this summer.  Parishioner GIVE Appeal donations far exceeded goals and are separately reported above as Capital Fund proceeds (just below Net Operating Income).   Finally, Expenses are under budget in their totality, as higher Plant expenses and unbudgeted Capital Expenditures (such as for livestream equipment) are offset by savings due to the vacancy in the Parish Life Director position.   Thank you for your support and please continue being generous as we head for the home stretch of our fiscal year.
