“Who is going to save our Church?”

Not our bishops, not our priests and religious. It is up to you, the people. You have the minds, the eyes, and the ears to save the Church. Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops act like bishops and your religious act like religious. – Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, 1972

Nearly 50 years ago Archbishop Sheen made this statement trying to rally the laity to take back their church. Fr. Norm Dickson, SJ, believes this charge to the laity is more relevant now than ever and will share his thoughts on how we the church can be more united in a common calling and restore its soul with less distinction between her people and her “princes”.
