August 2016 – Our new leadership development program for young professionals has launched! This is the culmination of work I had begun before I became pastor. To date we have 14 confirmed participants, ranging in age from 24 to 34; three more are still in application. Please pray for us, as these young adults make this courageous and generous commitment of themselves for two years to develop their spiritual lives as the foundation for the contributions they will make in their careers, families, and communities. “Contemplative Leaders in Action” (CLA) was developed by the east coast Jesuit Collaborative, and has spread to eight major cities across the country; Detroit is the ninth. It seeks to integrate Ignatian spirituality with leadership development, so that the participants can integrate their faith and their work life.
